ACHIVEMENTS:

AWARENESS WALK

Through the walk the organization was able to partner with the law society of Kenya, Nakuru Chapter where they partnered with us on the prevention of sexual offenses.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Entrepreneurship spirit has been inculcated to the young men and there is a growing demand for this training from our young men both in rural and urban setup. The immediate plan for the organization is to tap the potential in the rural areas. The organization has managed to support both start-up and existing businesses in the informal sector. In the rural areas our main target will be agricultural projects such as greenhouse farming, poultry, rabbit keeping, bee keeping and fish farming. These are projects that cannot be implemented in the urban areas.

FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The organization has sponsored two football tournaments. In the first tournament the organization had a message geared to helping the youths come together develop and culture of investing in themselves through savings where they can access small loans to start-up business or expand the micro existing businesses. The tournament brought together a pool of 12 teams in Njoro, a sub-county in Nakuru County. The organization gave uniforms, track suits, first aid kits, balls and facilitated the youths who were officiating the matches.

FOOTBALL REFEREE TRAINING

The organization partnered with Federation of Kenya Football (FKF) to organize a referees training for the youths in Nakuru County where 20 referees trained and 10 were fully sponsored by the Kenya Boy Child Initiative. This was prompted by the scarcity of the number of trained referees recognized by FKF in the region which made it hard to officiate the matches during the tournaments. The trained referees are currently earning a living by officiating crucial football matches in Kenya and across East Africa

Long term Needs: Vocational training for boys aimed at mentoring them to become responsible men in society.
